Is anyone else tired of Iraq? I'm tired of opening my homepage and seeing "30 killed in suicide bombing in bahgdad" or "5 more marines killed." I cannot imagine what the families of the troops are going through. It's all politics that has been mixed with emotions. If one side tries to debate the other, our emotions get involved and it creates tons of drama and ruins relationships. most of the time I feel like the mediator of the two ruling parties, between the democrats and republicans. If anyone cares to read what I have to say do so at your own disgression. If I offend you, its not my intention I just wanna get some things out in the air.
First 9/11- current reports are that the jet fuel in the jets that crashed into the towers melted the steel framing and caused them to collapse upon each other. Which in fact jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel. I found a website where the guy did all the chemistry and math, if you can prove him wrong go ahead

2nd- farenheit 9/11, Michael Moor is not the anti-christ. He made a documentaray that coincides with his history of making films that stirs peoples emotions. While some of his information may be incorrect, he does raise some valid points. And to my surprise alot of it was used of humor. I think why people hate him so much is because they haven't seen the movie and just claim that anyone who criticizes Bush is evil. Because we all know that Bush is a christian....
3rdly- King George and Darth Cheney. I just think those are really funny names for them . When Bush was first elected I felt pretty happy because I believed he was a christian, I felt , that it was about time we had a christian in the power house. But now I'm wondering.... what makes someone a christian? If someone says that they are a Christian does that make them one? I'm reminded of a very interesting bible verse.
"Watch out for false prophets. they come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise every good tree bears fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. thus, by their fruits you will know them." 1Mathew 7:15-21
You can't judge someone by what they say about themselves, but what they do. The result of their actions will reveal everything about them. And the result of Bush is that atleast 2,000 american soldiers are dead, some u.s. citizens have been decapitated, and people were left homeless, dehydrated, and starvingat the superdome. Now someone might say that Bush isn't responsible for a natural disaster, and I agree. There is nothing that could have been done to prevent a hurricane. But he could have appointed a competent FEMA director. But besides playing the blame game, we should have been quicker to help. And I'm really proud of Texas for taking in the Hurricane victims. Even though I wasn't born here, its my home. ( I was born in louisiana)
3rdly.5 - John Kerry. He isn't the anti-christ either. While I don't support bush I didn't support Kerry either. I personally didn't like either one of them. Kerry wasn't the best choice for Presidency, the democrats could have picked someone much more influential. the only thing kerry really had going for him was that he could cut off the world's supply of ketchuP if we didn't vote for him haha. (which I'm glad he didn't, i need my ketchup)
4th- Gay Marriage. I know I'm bound to offend some people here. let me analyze these two arguments.
Christians want to keep marriage sacred. man+women=marriage. and people keep quoting the "homesexuality is an abomination!" verse in Leviticus and the infamous "God hates FAGS" slogan.
Gays want to be able to be civily joined together and recieve all the benefits of marriage.
Ok first of all Christians, I want someone... anyone... to tell me where that is in the bible. One because I thought it was in Leviticus but I can't find it and I need help. two, the very idea of marriage is not as sacred as it once was. what is the divorce rate up to now? I heard something like 50% but that seems a little high to me. can anyone clarify this for me? and in fact the bible says not to divorce, yet we do it anyway. But honestly I don't approve of Gay Marriage, but I'm not gay and who am I to deny them that right as Americans? All can I say to all of you is that we as christians must "love the sinner, hate the sin." and in God's eyes all sin is equal. We all live in sin... thats human nature.
How about this verse, jesus was asked "what is the greatest commandment in the law?"
"Jesus replied;"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. and the second is like it: love your neighbor as yourself, all the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments.
This is what we as christians should be focusing on. we want to reunite people with Christ, not drive them away. By trying to block homosexuals from society we are just further seperating them from God. People forget to lead by example. Did Jesus come to save the saved? not at all. He spent his time with the sinful of the sinners. We need to re-evauate what Christ has called us to do.
and again in the spirit of America this is my opinion, and everyone has the right to dissagree with me. These things have just been nagging with me for a long long time |
